How do I use PayPal to order?

During the order process you will be presented with a button directing you to “Proceed to PayPal”.

This will take you to PayPal to pay your order. You do not need an account on PayPal to use PayPal but if you do have an account, you simply log in, select your funding source, confirm the amount and click “Pay Now”.

I don’t have a PayPal account. Can I pay another way?

You don’t need a PayPal account to use PayPal. When you are directed to the PayPal login screen, click on the “Pay with a credit or Visa Debit card” button. You will be presented with a form that requires information about your credit or debit card. Depending on your country, you may also be asked to enter your address, email address, or phone number. Once you’ve finished filling in the information, simply click on “Pay Now” at the bottom of the form.

I don’t want to use PayPal; where/how else can I buy it?

PayPal is an easy and secure way to make purchases, however nothing is completely risk-free.
You don’t have to have a PayPal account to purchase our products. You can choose to pay with a credit card through PayPal.

If you want to purchase the Cleanlots Manual, elsewhere, it is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Indigo, iBookstore, Booktopia and Lulu. The Business Template Kit and Marketing Video are only available on our website.

Why was my card declined by PayPal?

If your debit or credit card was declined, check to see if your card is expired or out of date. If the card you have on file doesn’t have your current billing address or is expired, it will be declined. You can update your card’s expiration and/or your billing address quickly and easily in your PayPal account.

You may also need to check with your credit card provider to determine if your account has restrictions on purchases made outside the United States.

I already bought the book; can I purchase the other materials after?

Absolutely. You can purchase the additional materials at any time.

I have not purchased the book but would like the business templates. Can I purchase these?

You can purchase all of our products individually. However, you’ll benefit the most by purchasing the book first.

I don’t have a credit card, how can I make a purchase?

We require you to pay using PayPal. If you have a PayPal account, you can select your bank account as the funding source. No credit card is needed.

How do I change quantities in the cart?

It happens. Sometimes people inadvertently add more than one of something to their cart.
Go to the shopping cart and hover your mouse over the Quantity box.

Up and down arrows will appear on the right hand side. Use them to decrease the number of products in your cart. When you are satisfied that you have the correct quantity, click the “Update Cart” button.

Do you have any coupons?

At this time we do not offer any coupons.

I’m having trouble ordering on my phone.

Everyone’s phone is different. We all use different apps, operating systems and settings. For best results, place your order from a computer.

The website will not let me purchase the book.

If you are outside the United States, you are unable to purchase the Cleanlots book or any of the other Cleanlots business products from our website.

I am not able to complete my order. What do I do?

Sorry to hear that you’re having difficulties placing your order. Sometimes people encounter issues if they try to place an order from their phone. If that is the case, please try to order from a computer.

If you are unable to complete your order from a computer, please try the following:

  1. Clear your browser cache (’s-Cache )
  2. Test your browser using this link, ( ) to make sure your web browser is up-to-date and that JavaScript is enabled
  3. Try a new web browser altogether (if you’re using Chrome, switch to Firefox or Edge, for example)
  4. Temporarily disable any antivirus or ad-blocker extensions/programs you’re running.

If you still can’t place your order, contact us. Let us know what’s happening and what you’ve tried and we’ll quickly work with you to get your order placed.


Can I access the products on my phone?

It depends. Our eBook is a pdf. If you have an app installed that can view pdf documents, you should be able to access it on your phone. If you have trouble, use a computer. Most computers have a pdf viewer.

Our other products (business template kit and video) should be downloaded on a computer first as the files are compressed and need to be extracted before they can be viewed.

I am having difficulty accessing the products on my phone.

In order to read the manual on your phone, you’ll have to have a pdf viewer installed. The other products (Business Template Kit and Marketing Video) will need to be extracted first, before you can view them. Do that on a computer for best results.

I forget where I saved my download. How do I find it?

When you click on the download link in your email, try to save your file in a safe place that you’ll remember.

Typically, files will be saved in your “Downloads” folder, but depending on your setup, that location could vary.

Here are some common locations to check:

  1. On Windows XP, look under \Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\Downloads
  2. Vista and Windows 7, the path may be \Users\[username]\Downloads
  3. For Mac, the full default path is /Users/[username]/Downloads
  4. On Linux it should be home\[username]\Downloads

I can’t open the business templates.

All of the business templates are zipped up together in one big file called a zip file. Zip files take up less storage space and are quicker to download. In order to view all of the templates, you must first unzip or uncompress this file. See “How do I uncompress a zip file”.

I don’t know how to edit the business templates.

All of our business templates are editable. The pdf’s can be edited using Adobe Acrobat, and the MS Word templates can be edited with either Google Docs or Microsoft Word.

Make sure that you have uncompressed the Business Template kit file before you try to edit.

How do I uncompress a zip file?

Generally on a PC, to unzip the contents of a zipped file, double click on the file and click “Extract All”. A dialogue box will open up that shows you where the extracted files will be saved. Please make a note of this location so you can find your templates later.

On a Mac, double click the zip file and it should automatically uncompress into the same folder the compressed file is in.

Uncompressing files on phones or tables require third party apps.

I can’t find or didn’t receive my download link(s).

Please check your spam folder if you did not receive your download links within 30 minutes of your order.

If you can’t find the email, please contact us.

I filled in the wrong information when I ordered. How can I change that? (email or address)

If you filled in the wrong information, please use the contact form right away to let us know what the proper information is. Don’t delay, if you have ordered a hard cover book, we ship them out right away.

Why was I given a login to the website when I made my purchase?

Your website account keeps track of all of your past orders and downloads links. If you need to update your address, you can also do it there.

How long does it take to receive my hard cover book? Can I get a tracking number?

Our hard copy books are printed upon demand. This means that we don’t print your book until your order has been placed.

Please allow up to 10 days for your book to be printed and shipped out to you.

A tracking number can be supplied upon request.

How long after purchase before I receive my digital products?

You should receive an email that contains all of your download links within half an hour of your completed payment. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it.

I purchased the book a couple years ago; can you send me the newest version?

Unfortunately, like any other book, if you want a newer version, you’ll have to buy it.

I clicked on the video that I purchased, but it won’t play. Is it corrupt?

Like all of our digital products, the video is delivered to you in a zip file for quicker downloading. You’ll need to uncompress the video in order to play it. See “How do I uncompress a zip file”

How do I put the video on social media / website?

First you need to uncompress the video from the zip file.

Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn each have their own native video hosting platforms. This means you can upload your videos directly to each social media site.

You may have to upload your video to a hosting list like YouTube or Vimeo to post it on some of the others.

To put your video on your website, you should host it on YouTube or Vimeo and then embed it on your website. Different website platforms have different methods for embedding videos.

How do I remove the copyright on the video?

You can’t.

Can I put my logo on the video?

Is Cleanlots support really free? How long does free support last? What does it include/not include?

Brian provides Cleanlot business related advice and tips based on his years of experience, to purchasers of the Cleanlots Manual. Once you purchase the manual, you will have his phone number and email address (both are provided in the book). There is currently no expiration for this support, however it does not include technical support.

If I purchase my book on a 3rd party site, do I still get free support?

Yes, you will receive free support as long as you can provide the order number from your purchase and the email address you provided with your purchase.

How do I know that Cleanlots will work in my city?

The Cleanlots business model will work in any city with commercial properties with parking lots. The larger the city – the bigger the opportunity.

How many others have purchased Cleanlots in my city?

We do not track how many people purchase the Cleanlots book in a specific city. Regardless of how many people purchased the book, not everyone starts a business.

Where can I purchase the tools you use?

The litter collection tool contact is listed in the Cleanlots book. Other tools can be purchased locally.

Do you offer a guarantee?

No. I can’t guarantee someone will put forth the required effort to build a Cleanlots business. If you work the business, the business will work for you.

Can I name my business Cleanlots?

We do not recommend you name your business Cleanlots. It is best to come up with your own name, so you can develop your own ranking on search engines and in the area of your business.

Is this a franchise?

No this is not a franchise. You receive some of the support you might if it were a franchise, but aren’t required to pay royalties, etc. Every dollar you make is yours!

Are you hiring?

No, Cleanlots is not hiring.
